His son Charlie Woods, who plays golf both individually and on the school’s team, has two years of high school left. Tiger Woods’ daughter, Sam Woods, also attended the Benjamin School and graduated last month. She has plans to follow in her father’s footsteps and attend Stanford University in fall 2025. According to reports, Sam Woods is going for academics instead of athletics, with an interest in pursuing psychology or biology.

She’s also a gifted athlete and competed with the Benjamin Buccaneers girls’ soccer team and track team.

“This season is definitely bittersweet because I’ve been playing with these girls since forever,” she told the Palm Beach Post earlier this year. “It’s going to be really hard hanging up my cleats for the last time.”

Charlie Woods just finished his sophomore year. He is heading into his junior year at the Benjamin School in Florida and is set to graduate in 2027.

He is ranked No. 14 in the latest edition of the AJGA boys rankings, more than 595 spots better than his previous ranking of No. 609. Charlie Woods earned his first career AJGA win on May 28 with a 3-stroke victory at the Team TaylorMade Invitational at Streamsong Resort’s Black Course in Bowling Green, Florida.

The Benjamin School’s elementary and middle school campus is in North Palm Beach on Ellison Wilson Road, appropriately located near Golfview Road and wedged between two golf courses.

What is the tuition at the Benjamin School in Florida?

According to the school’s website, one year of tuition for 9th through 12th grade is $38,595 for the 2025-26 school year, up from $37,200 for the 2024-25 school year. 

Who is the founder of the Benjamin School?

The founders of the Benjamin School, Marshall and Nancy Benjamin, were a Michigan couple (both teachers) who moved to South Florida in the 1950s.

Shortly after moving to Florida, they opened up a private school near Palm Beach International Airport, which filled with students within two years of opening, according to Nancy Benjamin’s obituary in the Palm Beach Post, a USA TODAY Network newspaper.

“After a two-year stint traveling and teaching on a military base in Africa, the couple returned to Palm Beach County in 1956. They taught in the public school system,” the Palm Beach Post’s obituary states. “The two teachers from Royal Oak, Mich., bought a parcel of land in 1960 with two old houses that became North Palm Beach Private School for pre-K students to sixth grade.”

That private school then became The Benjamin School. The school probably attracts golfers because of its location – just under a 20-minute car ride away from Jupiter, where many famous golfers live.
