AMMAN, June 14 (Xinhua) — Jordan reopened its airspace at 7:30 a.m. local time (0430 GMT) on Saturday after a temporary closure prompted by heightened tensions due to hostilities between Israel and Iran, the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) said.

CARC Chief Haitham Misto said the commission continues to assess regional developments and their impact on flight safety, and will take appropriate decisions regarding future air traffic operations, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
He added that airlines will be provided with updated information to keep passengers informed.
Petra also reported that the Royal Jordanian Airlines began operating additional flights on Saturday to accommodate passengers affected by Friday’s suspension. ■
