Howard, who plays for the LA Riot, pushed Stephenson, who plays for Miami 305, which resulted in them grappling into the crowd with Stephenson knocking Howard down and landing on top of him:
Both Howard and Stephenson were ejected from the game, and Miami went on to win 50-44.
Howard and Stephenson each made their debut in the popular 3-on-3 league on Saturday following successful professional careers in the NBA and overseas.

The 39-year-old Howard was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft, and he went on to play 18 seasons in the NBA from 2004 to 2022 with the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers.
Howard was chosen as part of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 by virtue of his eight All-Star nods, eight All-NBA selections, five rebounding titles, three NBA Defensive Player of the Year Awards and one NBA championship.
In 1,242 career regular-season games, Howard averaged 15.7 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.
Following the end of his NBA career, Howard spent some time playing in Taiwan for the Taoyuan Leopards before joining BIG3.

Stephenson, 34, played 10 years in the NBA from 2010 to 2019 and 2021 to 2022 with the Indiana Pacers, Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves, Lakers and Hawks.
In 554 games, Stephenson averaged 8.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He was best known as a tenacious defender and a player who often got under the skin of others.
Along with his NBA tenure, Stephenson played professionally in China and Puerto Rico, and he most recently played for the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League during the 2023-24 campaign.
In a winning effort for Miami in his BIG3 debut, Stephenson finished with 16 points, three rebounds and one assist, while Howard had 10 points and seven rebounds for LA.
