Cooked Owl – Grow a Garden Guide

Cooked Owl is an exclusive Mythical pet that was added to Grow a Garden on June 14, 2025 as part of the Working Bee and Crafting Update. This is the third expansion of the Bizzy Bees Swarm Event, which has already introduced 10 new pets to the game. More pets were introduced as part of the update, including the Cooked Owl. Here’s everything you need to know about the new pet, whether you were able to obtain it or not.

How to Get the Cooked Owl in Grow a Garden

Since the developers of Grow a Garden introduced pets to the game as part of Animal Update, there have multiple been opportunities to get your hands on exclusive pets. In fact, the very first push for the Animal Update gave players a chance to get a Panda, but only for the first hour of the update!

More recently, the Chicken Jockey Zombie was added to the game, but only given to players who were logged into the update at the time it was deployed.

That’s the key thing you need to be aware of whenever an exclusive animal is teased before an update, you typically need to be logged into the event before it starts to have a chance of getting it! I’d actually recommend logging in around an hour before an update is supposed to drop. That’s because there’s usually an entire build up to the event, with weather events being pushed by admin commands that have ranged from a Sun God event to Disco Mutation becoming available and the servers can quickly become full preventing everyone from getting in the game.

The Cooked Owl could only be obtained by players who logged on at the start of the Working Bee and Crafting Update. You’d need to have the Cooked Owl gifted to you now, if you didn’t manage to log on and claim it.

Cooked Owl’s Passive Pet Trait

Every animal in Grow a Garden has a special ability, and the Cooked Owl’s ability is that it has the chance to cook a nearby fruit. This will mean it’s Usually Burnt, but occassionally cooked. All active pets will also gain additional XP.
