You might have seen him making plays on the football field as a Detroit Lion for years, and now former NFL star Nate Burleson is behind a new collaboration that might have you saying cheers.

Burleson has teamed up with Valentine Distilling Co. to launch a new vodka that’s being released just in time for Father’s Day. Lionblood Orange Vodka features a blood orange flavor, but is also made with elder flower and Michigan beet sugar.
“I wanted something that you could mix up and drink year-round, and that’s why I wanted to do a citrus-based drink,” Burleson said.
A Lionblood launch party will be held at Belle’s Lounge in Ferndale on Friday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Burleson will be doing a bottle signing event at the Kroger located at 22801 Harper Ave. in St. Clair Shores from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.
