San Diego County Fair discounts and money saving tips 2025

Annual visitors to the San Diego County Fair know it’s easy to go on a spending spree there. Possible expenditures this year include concert tickets, carnival rides and pickle lemonade.

Fairgoers can find a good deal or save money if they visit the fairgrounds armed with a few tips and tricks. This guide offers some ideas that might help locals keep to a budget at this year’s fair.

Returning fairgoers

If you like to visit the fair more than once, consider a season pass starting at $65 for admission to all 20 days of the fair run.

Carnival lovers

If you love the rides and midway games, buy a BlastPass before June 10 to get 25% more ride and fun zone credits.

Families with kids

Fridays are kids days, where children 12 and under get in free.

Foodies

Fridays are also “foodie” days, where the 18 finalists in the Fair-Tastic Food Competition will be selling their award-worthy dishes for half-price from 11 am. to 4 p.m. every Friday in June. Keep an eye out for $15 meal deals at participating food booths, where vendors will offer an entrée and side or drink for that price.
