What did James Gunn say about his next DCU movie?
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview, Gunn opened up about a potential Superman 2, and said that he wouldn’t classify what he’s working on next as a definitive Superman sequel, but does have something he’s thinking of.
“What I’m working on is in some way…I mean, yes, yes, yes, yes,” said Gunn. “But is it a straight-up Superman sequel? I would not say necessarily.”
Gunn also responded to quotes from WB’s David Zaslav, who recently said at an investor’s meeting that characters like Superman, Batman, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman are crucial to the longevity of DC. Gunn said he agrees, but wouldn’t limit it to just those four.

“I wouldn’t say only those four characters, but I would say that those four characters are incredibly important to us,” Gunn said. “Right now, I feel great about where two of those characters are, and then we’re dealing with the other two.”
“Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros.
