Now, he is free from the case and is reportedly in a casual relationship with Yulia Vlasova. Johnny is known for his candid confessions. In an earlier interview with a magazine, Johnny Depp had confessed to torturing 19-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio back in the 90s.

Johnny Depp, in an old interview with Cosmopolitan, revealed that he was going through a tough phase while filming What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. In the 1993 film, Johnny and Leonardo DiCaprio (19) played brothers. In the same interview, the actor revealed that he indeed tortured Leonardo during the filming.

Johnny Depp had said, “It was a hard time for me, that film, for some reason. I don’t know why. I tortured him. I really did.” While revealing the reason, the Minamata actor stated, “He was always talking about these video games, you know? I told you it was kind of a dark period. I was like, ‘No, I will not give you a drag of my cigarette while you hide from your mother again, Leo.’”

Johnny Depp also confessed that he had been impressed by Leonardo DiCaprio’s hard work and dedication towards the craft. He concluded, “I’d say the absolute truth is that I respect Leo a lot. He worked really hard on that film and spent a lot of time researching. He came to set, and he was ready to work hard, and all his ducks were in a row.”

Leonardo DiCaprio received a lot of acclaim for his role in the film. He was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor category of the 66th Academy Awards.
