Louisville baseball beat Miami 8-1 in the NCAA Super Regional Friday. The Cardinals are one win away from going to the College World Series in Omaha.
- The ACC will have at least one team in the 2025 College World Series bracket with Louisville baseball hosting Miami in NCAA Tournament super regionals.
Louisville and Miami are used to having their backs against the wall.
The Hurricanes used the elimination bracket to reach the NCAA super regionals while the Cardinals ended the regular season with back-to-back ACC series losses. Now both teams will use that spirit and culture to try and get to the College World Series.

Left-handed pitcher Evan Eberle will get the start in Game 3 against the Hurricanes. Eberle is 6-2, which includes a win over Wright State in the Nashville Regional final. He has 50 strikeouts in 53 innings over 17 games.
Despite Saturday’s loss, Louisville is playing some of its best baseball during the NCAA Tournament, powered by Eddie King, Jr.’s bat. When playing at their best, the Cardinals are a CWS team and they’ll prove it Friday afternoon. Louisville 10, Miami 8.
