Ferrari won a national title as a true freshman for Oklahoma State in 2021 before being dismissed from the team in 2022. Ferrari returned to college wrestling last season for CSU-Bakersfield where he went 22-1 and placed 3rd place at 197 lbs.

Ferrari originally announced he would be transferring to North Carolina next season, but that ultimately did not work out. “We decided to part ways. Nothing but respect for Rob Koll and all the coaches there,” Ferrari said while announcing his commitment on Instagram live.

When asked about what weight he will be competing at next season, Ferrari did not rule out a move up to heavyweight. “That’s between me and the coaching staff right now,” Ferrari said. “I’m about 230 lbs right now.”

Ferrari will be joining a Nebraska team that took 2nd place at the 2025 NCAA championships and returning All-Americans Jacob Van Dee, Brock Hardy, Antrell Taylor, Christopher Minto, Silas Allred, and Camden McDanel.
