How To Find The Roaring Knight Secret Boss In Deltarune

You can find the secret boss Roaring Knight simply by playing till the end of Chapter 3. He always appears after the Teena boss fight. However, you will need a solid plan for beating him, as he usually one-shots everyone within a few turns. You should save your game after the Teena boss fight and load the save after you get the Shadow Mantle.

You can only have a realistic chance of beating the Roaring Knight secret boss if you get the Shadow Mantle armor. Still, the process of getting the Shadow Mantle is itself very difficult, but it’s worth the grind.

How To Get The Shadow Mantle In Deltarune

Get S Rank In The First Board

First, you will need to get S Rank in the first Board. The easiest way you can do this is by getting the T Rank by grinding 1,500 points, then getting all four keys and focusing on the cooking mini-game. You can take a few tries to complete the Board with S Rank.

Next, head to the Green Room, and you can now access the S Rank exclusive room. There, you will find an NPC on the left side of the room, who will let you go to the backstage area. You need to enter the backstage area, where you’ll be able to find a mini-game. Your goal in this mini-game will be to first find the sword and then use it to defeat enemies. You have to level up slowly by farming EXP in this way.

You need to reach level three, which will allow you to cut down the cacti and make your way towards the right. Level up a little more, and you will be able to chop trees. Play Mini-Games Again

Get back to the S Rank exclusive room once you are finished with the Board and start playing the console mini-game. Similar to the first console mini-game, you have to level up here and progress by defeating enemies.

Eventually, you’ll find a raft, upon which you need to sail north into ice-cold waters. Get down from the raft and follow the path into the temple. Here, you’ll once again have to defeat lots of enemies until you find the White Cloak. Your attacks will now fire icy blasts at enemies who were immune earlier.

Get The Shelter Key

Continue your journey until you find a locked door. Use the Ice Key to open it, and you’ll enter a dark space. Here, you will spot a sparkling object. Interact with it to get the Shelter Key.

Once you get the Shelter Key, exit the mini-game and head back to the Green Room. You will be able to play the final level in the S Rank exclusive room for getting the Shadow Mantle.

You will start the mini-game with your companions Susie and Ralsei. As you progress, you will need to head out of the city and go down the manhole. Descend further until you meet the NPC Toriel, who will lead you to the Shelter, which you can unlock using the Shelter Key you got earlier.

Fight The Shadow Mantle Boss

Finally, you can descend further into the Shelter and encounter the Shadow Mantle. This is a mini-boss who drops the Shadow Mantle item if you defeat it. Throughout the battle, focus on dodging and only attack if you are in a safe position. Upon winning, you’ll obtain the Shadow Mantle, which will serve as the key to defeating Roaring Knight.
