Francesca Scorsese is literally following in her famous father’s footsteps as an actress, director, and writer.
Martin Scorsese‘s bond with Francesca is clearly something special. The two spend quite a bit of time together, as evidenced by their latest appearance on the red carpet at the 71st Taormina Film Festival in Italy this week.
On Thursday, June 12, the Scorsese father-daughter duo hit the event together, both looking fabulous in formalwear. Martin wore a black and white tuxedo, while Francesca matched with an asymmetrical black gown that featured an off-center halter strap secured by an O-ring connected to just one side of the bodice and a slit up the side.

Martin is being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival. He’s also working on two projects that were partially filmed in Sicily.
This father-daughter filmmaking duo is often seen together, as Francesca loves to feature her dad in TikTok videos, including the recently epic “Holy Airball” trend that took over the social media app.

The next slide showed her father’s backside with “He said ‘oh nice, for like commercials or something?'” Then, the third slide showed a stoic Martin, the man behind legendary films like Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas, with a message that said “Holy F—ing Airball!”
