Chet making plays 😤⚡

Holmgren continues to make an impact at both ends for OKC, as he’s got 14 points, 12 rebounds, a steal and a block in 33 minutes. Despite the Thunder shooting just 2-for-16 from the 3-point line, they’ve battled with plays like this from Chet to stay in this game.

Pascal Siakam is the high man for Indiana with 14 points, adding 2 boards, 3 assists, 4 steals and a block in 16 minutes. Haliburton is up to 8 points with 5 assists, including this beautiful up-and-under move. Game 4 has been awesome through two quarters, as we’ve seen 6 ties and 5 lead changes.

Despite Indiana and OKC shooting a combined 30 free throws, SGA doesn’t have a single one of the Thunder’s 17 overall. He’s done a nice job getting to his spots and scoring, pouring in 12 points in 18 minutes, but he failed to record an assist. The Pacers have a 21-3 edge in 3-point buckets, and they’ve dished out 15 helpers compared to 6 for Oklahoma City.

Don’t miss the second half of this one, coming up shortly on ABC.

Defense👉Offense💥

The Thunder get off and running after Chet Holmgren swats Aaron Nesmith, helping OKC keep a 26-14 edge in paint scoring. Jalen Williams (16 points), SGA (12 points) and Alex Caruso (11 points) lead the way for OKC, who hold a 55-53 advantage with less than 2 minutes remaining before the half.

Nesmith got some revenge on Holmgren, drilling a 3 before forcing an offensive foul call on the big man. Five Pacers have at least 6 points, led by Pascal Siakam with 12 on 4-for-8 shooting. Haliburton has been quiet offensively, but he’s got a game-high 5 dimes in his 16 minutes of action.

Pacers up one after one 🤩🔥

Indiana came out of the gate swinging, jumping ahead with a nine-point lead halfway through the quarter before a 9-0 OKC run tied things at 24. Both squads went back and forth through the first 12 minutes, as both are shooting 55% from the field, but it’s the Pacers who hold a 35-34 edge after one quarter.

Pacers vs Thunder Game 4 preview🎥🍿

All eyes will be on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder as they look to respond from their 116-107 loss on Wednesday night that dropped them to a 2-1 deficit. After setting an NBA record with 71 combined points in his first two Finals games, SGA had 24 points on 9-for-20 shooting in 42 minutes in Game 3.

Indiana’s defensive strategy was simple: stop Shai from touching the paint at all costs. They brought help and clogged the middle of the floor when he was able to turn the corner, forcing SGA into a playoff career-high six turnovers, and 17 for the Thunder overall. Andrew Nembhard was literally glued to his lifelong friend all evening, so keep an eye on that matchup and what OKC can do to free up space for the MVP.

Bennedict Mathurin and T.J. McConnell were stellar in their own rights, as Mathurin dropped 10 of his postseason career-high 27 points in the decisive fourth quarter.

NBA Finals Game 4 storylines 📰👇

  • Pacers aim for commanding lead: Indiana put on a defensive masterclass in Game 3 that hounded Kia NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, causing the Thunder to turn the ball over 17 times en route to a 2-1 series lead. Tyrese Haliburton was excellent in his best outing of the Finals, tallying 22 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds, and Bennedict Mathurin popped off with a playoff career-high 27 points in 22 minutes off the bench. Historically, teams that win Game 4 are 37-1, so a victory tonight would give the Pacers a huge advantage going forward.
  • Bench production proving to be X-factor: After the Pacers’ bench outscored the Thunder’s in their Game 1 win (39-28), Indiana’s reserves did it again in Game 3’s victory, recording a massive 49-18 edge. However, OKC’s Game 2 triumph was powered by a 48-34 advantage in bench scoring, thanks in large part to a combined 38 from Alex Caruso (20) and Aaron Wiggins (18). Regardless, the Thunder will need to get more juice from their reserves if they want to have a better shot evening the series at 2-2.
