COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Authorities in Columbus are investigating a head-on crash that claimed the life of a 37-year-old man.

According to the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office, Tyler Carr Cashbaugh was fatally injured when his vehicle apparently crossed over the median on Manchester Expressway and collided with a Ram pickup truck. He was pronounced dead shortly after 11 p.m.
Officials said the crash happened about a mile west of County Line Road.
The coroner’s office reported that Cashbaugh was wearing a seatbelt and sustained blunt force trauma to the chest and head. We’re told the driver of the pickup truck and two child passengers were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
