Sofía Vergara Goes Topless in a Thong Bikini to Soak Up the Sun

Sofía Vergara is quickly becoming the go-to gal for bikini inspo. The Modern Family actress just kicked her bikini game up a notch, wearing the ittiest bittiest thong bikini bottoms—and not much else.

In a new Instagram post, the actress stretches out on her stomach on a sun lounger by her pool. Vergara is seemingly going topless in order to get her tan on. And, naturally, she’s doing it in the healthiest way possible. In the picture, a bottle of SPF from her skincare brand, Toty, is visible.

“Summer has arrived,” she wrote in Spanish in the caption.

Vergara soaked up the sun by the pool.

Vergara also shared another bikini pic on her Instagram Stories. This time, she opted for a yellow bikini with a pink floral print. She protected her face from the sun in a straw visor. Once again, her handy bottle of SPF wasn’t too far away.

Sun protection has become more and more important for Vergara over the years.

“I grew up in very tropical weather in Barranquilla, Colombia, and there was no one ever telling you, ‘Don’t get sunburn’ or ‘Don’t tan,’” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2023 when she launched her sunscreen. “I wish I had made that decision sooner also for the rest of my body, but I didn’t. I just thought to save my face, and that was it. So, I haven’t had my face in the sun without protection since the ’90s.”

She added, “I would fry like a chicken with coconut oil, my whole body. No, I mean, every weekend. Now I only go in the sun maybe when I’m on vacation.”

Vergara’s new bikini pics are only the latest in a series of poolside pictures from the actress. In April, Vergara posted a few snaps of herself in what appears to be the same black thong bikini along with a colorful bandeau top and last month, she swapped the two-piece for a sexy lace-up one-piece.
