It was an electric moment on Monday night when Josh Naylor hit a walk-off grand slam for Arizona. The Diamondbacks were able to end last night on a positive note after a meltdown in the ninth inning and an injury to Justin Martinez. If the Snakes can lock down Seattle as they did until that ninth-inning debacle, they should be set up nicely for a victory.

Toeing the rubber on Tuesday:

Arizona will be having Brandon Pfaadt on the mound on Tuesday. In his last two starts, Pfaadt has only pitched a combined three innings, giving up 14 earned runs on 12 hits. It has been a nightmare, to say the least after a stellar start to the season. Pfaadt will need to get back on track and make sure he doesn’t put the D-Backs in a hole early.

Logan Evans was recalled this morning and will be starting for Seattle. Evans will be rolling into Chase Field with the Mariners having won the last three outings that Evans has started. Back in May 27th, Evans pitched eight innings only giving up four hits and one earned run against the Nationals.

It could be a story of pitching on Tuesday, as Brandon Pfaadt has been abysmal and Seattle has a real chance with their rookie who has shown promise with decent appearances. Arizona will need Pfaadt to look like he did at the beginning of the season if they want any chance to contend. The first pitch at Chase Field between the D-Backs and Mariners is at 6:40 p.m. PT.

Another massive untimely injury for Arizona Diamondbacks star pitcher
