The former Nickelodeon star and Broadway actor — who portrayed musical prodigy Andre Harris on Victorious from 2010 to 2013 — also appeared in the musicals The Lion King and The Color Purple before launching his music career.

As part of the production duo The Rascals, Thomas co-wrote and co-produced tracks for Ariana Grande, Rick Ross, Drake, Babyface, and Toni Braxton beginning in 2010. His credits include contributions to Grande’s Positions, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, Post Malone’s Stoney, and the 2024 Kanye West/Ty Dolla $ign collaboration Vultures. In 2024, he also won his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for co-writing SZA’s hit single “Snooze.”

Thomas released his debut EP, Genesis, in 2018 and signed with Ty Dolla $ign’s EZMNY Records, in partnership with Motown, in 2022. His long-awaited debut studio album, Electric Dusk, was released the following year, but it was his sophomore album, Mutt — and its title track — that earned him his first No. 1 on the R&B charts. In May, he released a deluxe edition of Mutt titled Heel, featuring Masego, Kehlani, Halle, Freddie Gibbs, Wale, and Big Sean.
