What injury does Caitlin Clark have?

It is likely a Grade I or II strain. A Grade I strain is mild and only involves a small number of muscle fibers, according to the Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Centre, and there is usually pain and tightness but no loss of function. It usually takes two weeks to recover from a Grade I strain. A Grade II strain is slightly more serious, where there would be some loss of function, and that typically takes 4-6 weeks for a full recovery.

When did Caitlin Clark suffer an injury?

She isn’t sure, though her best guess is during a May 24 game against the New York Liberty. She scored 18 points and had 10 assists in narrow loss.

“Obviously, adrenaline covers up a lot of stuff when you’re in the heat of battle,” Clark said Thursday, June 5. “And after the game, I had some pain, and then we got an MRI, and that kind of gave me the result that I didn’t want to see. But, you know, those types of things don’t lie.”

What Caitlin Clark said about her injury

“I love practice. I love getting better,” Clark said. “I think that’s just kind of been the time for me to, like, really find some patience. And I’ve never been a patient person my entire life, so this is definitely testing me a little bit, but I think it’s gonna be really good for me. I just tried to approach it in the best way I possibly can. I can’t change it, but yeah, I think my patience has definitely grown a lot.”

When is Caitlin Clark playing again?

Clark will miss the Saturday, June 7, game against the Chicago Sky. After that, Clark and the team will take it day-to-day.

“I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress, and I feel good,” Clark said. “I’m not going to rush back if it’s not worth it. But after this weekend I’ll be reevaluated and we’ll have a better idea of when I’m returning.”

In four games this season, Caitlin Clark averaged 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals, making 31.4% of her 3-pointers.
