According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), there was “intensive contact” over a transfer between Bayern Munich and AC MIlan winger Rafael Leão. However, things have gone cold per the report, as Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl could be focused on Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams:

There had been intensive contact between FC Bayern and Rafael Leão. The club’s bosses have been talking with the player’s management for a long time and working on a deal. But within the agents industry, it is now said that the player is upset because Max Eberl has suddenly stopped the talks and negotiations. It remains to be seen whether that’s because Leão is too expensive – or because Eberl is now serious about his ‘dream player’, Nico Williams.
Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo (via @iMiaSanMia), is saying it would take €95 million or more to get Leão:
Within Milan, the line was clear from the beginning, there are important players but not unsellable ones. But Rafael Leão belongs to a category all his own – he is the last player Milan would be willing to let go of. Antonio Leão, Rafael’s father, and another agent met with Bayern executives before the Champions League final. From that moment on there were no developments, nor did Leão ask Milan to be sold. Nothing has happened.

In the past few hours, rumors have emerged about the possible inclusion of a Bayern player in the deal, but candidates like Coman or Goretzka have salaries that are too high for Milan.
In the coming days and weeks, Bayern Munich will be seeking to get a deal done with a wing — maybe even one of their own, Leroy Sané. The race is clearly on…
