The Strikeout Stadium is free to use and designed for pickup baseball. It can be played one-on-one up to five-on-five.
Smoltz told News 10 his dream was to create a facility for neighborhood kids to gather and play pickup baseball like he did growing up in Lansing.
Smoltz was a standout three-sport athlete at Waverly High School and played 21 years in the MLB before being inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 2015.
