This will be Gotham’s first league match since losing to the San Diego Wave on May 16. That is because they were busy winning the CONCACAF W Champions Cup, a feat they accomplished last Saturday. However, they need to start finding momentum if they want to compete in the NWSL Playoffs, as the club has gone winless in its last three league contests.

The Current sits first in the NWSL, four points ahead of the Wave. Gotham is ninth in the standings, two points back of the eighth and final playoff spot.
