Savannah Bananas play in Charlotte this weekend: Everything to know

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Savannah Bananas are playing two games in Charlotte this weekend, and we’ve got everything you need to know.

As part of their 2025 World Tour, “Banana Ball” will be played inside Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, June 7. Due to overwhelming demand, a second game was added — which will be played on Friday, June 6.

According to the team, less than 1% of their tickets were available before the second date was added. Tickets were accessible through a lottery system.

First … who are the Savannah Bananas?

In case you didn’t know, the Bananas are a baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia, but the games are … a little different.

“Banana Ball,” which they claim to be the “most entertaining game of baseball,” combines the sport, choreographed dances, unique uniforms, scoring celebrations, walk-up song performances, breakdancing coaches, and more.

“We are thrilled the Savannah Bananas selected Charlotte as one of their locations this year!” said Danny Morrison, executive director of CSF. “We’re going to witness a once-in-a-lifetime show, and we can’t wait for the Bananas and their fans to experience the Queen City.”

Tickets & seating

Tickets are sold by “Ticket Zones,” which correspond to the stadium map below.

Officials said ticketholders received a specific section, row, and seat assignment within the zone they purchased in late May.

Parking

More than 30,000 parking spaces within a 10-15 minute walk to the stadium are available for the games.

Entry policy

Bags: You’ll need to follow the clear bag policy.

According to the Panthers’ stadium policies, a clear bag policy is in effect to “ensure that all fans have a safe and enjoyable visit.“ That policy will be no different during the Bananas games.

What is the clear bag policy?

The policy essentially means anything that can’t fit into your pocket must be placed into a clear bag.

Transparent plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or purses, bags, or clutches no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ are allowed.

The following items are not allowed into the stadium:

• Alcoholic beverages
• All balls, including footballs of any size
• All non-transparent bags or items, including backpacks, binocular/camera cases, cinch bags, computer bags, diaper bags, purses larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, etc.
• Baby seats
• Balloons
• Coolers or containers, including cans and bottles
• Explosives
• Fireworks
• Folding chairs
• Food and beverages, except two (2) sealed plastic non-flavored water bottles per person
• Horns, bells, whistles and other noise makers
• Illegal drugs
• Laptops
• Laser pointers
• Pets, except service animals assisting those with disabilities
• Seat cushions with covers, zippers, clasps, pockets or any other device that would allow concealment of any item
• Selfie Sticks
• Strollers
• Umbrellas
• Video equipment
• Weapons of any kind and size, including guns, knives, scissors and those carried with a permit
• Other items that in the judgment of stadium management pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other patrons

Permitted items that will be inspected

The following items are allowed into the stadium but will be inspected:

• Any transparent plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• Purses, bags, clutches, or fanny packs no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″
• Containers for medical supplies or special food items for diabetics (please contact the director of security at 704-358-7000 for more information on the approval process)
• Flags without poles or sticks
• Seat pads without covers, zippers, clasps, pockets or any other device that would allow concealment of any items
• Tablets

Seat Cushions: Cushions with covers, zippers, clasps, pockets, or any other device that would allow an item to be concealed are prohibited.

Umbrellas: Umbrellas are not permitted within Bank of America Stadium.

Security upon Entry: All patrons and their belongings will be searched upon entry into the stadium.

Plaza

There’s action before the games!

The Pre-Game Plaza “offers an unforgettable experience filled with energy, excitement, and entertainment for fans of all ages.”

Officials said live performances and tons of interactive fun will be available. A pre-game map of activities outside the stadium can be seen below.
