The Pole considers his teammate Lamine Yamal a favorite for the Ballon d’Or, but is skeptical due to the selection process.
He told the Spanish newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’: “He naturally has a chance, but there are other things that are very important for the Ballon d’Or: it depends on the rules that apply then. Every year there are different rules. It depends on who is supposed to win and how the rules are therefore.”
Ousmane Dembélé also has good chances of winning the award for best footballer on the planet after winning the Champions League. Lewandowski further emphasized: “For me, it would be nice if a Barcelona player were to win the Ballon d’Or, but ultimately you don’t know what rules will apply then.”
