Santino Marella & his daughter make history in TNA

Santino Marella and Arianna Grace made history in TNA as the first father and daughter tag team. Unfortunately, shenanigans were afoot. Sonna ma gun!

The ongoing power struggle storyline led to a mixed tag match on Impact (May 29, 2025). Santino and Arianna were set to wrestle Robert Stone and Tessa Blanchard. Arianna surprised her father by arranging Jimmy Korderas as special guest referee to call it down the middle fair and square.

That was the idea anyway. Santino and Arianna power strut to the ring. Like father, like daughter.

Sheriff Stone had different plans. He used his authority to make three rules for the bout. First, the match can not go over 10 minutes. Second, Stone doesn’t trust Korderas, so he assigned Alisha Edwards as special enforcer. Third, the Cobra is banned! If Santino tries to use his special finisher, then he will be stripped of power, and Stone will take his job. Stone also announced that Victoria Crawford (aka Alicia Fox) would be filling in as his partner, because Blanchard was not cleared to compete due to TMJ.

Blanchard was cleared to cheat. She was caught by Korderas and promptly ejected. Stone’s team isolated Arianna. Hot tag to Santino running wild. Arianna landed a flying crossbody on Crawford for the pin. Stone pulled the referee out of the ring and blamed it on Santino. Stone then shoved the ref from behind colliding into Santino. Ref down! Alisha was in. Axe kick from Crawford to Arianna, and Stone scooped the pinfall on Santino’s daughter for the win.

After the show, Santino was so furious that he was going to break the brick wall with the Cobra. Santino proposed a singles match against Stone for the role of Director of Authority. TNA confirmed the bout for Against All Odds on June 6.
